Support Small Scale Businesses in Niger Delta, Lawmakers Told

Some owners of small scale businesses in the Niger Delta region have called on lawmakers in the federal constituencies to provide support for the improvement of their businesses.

They say although lawmaking is their major task but aside the representation they give to the constituencies, they should also look into the welfare of members of their constituencies particularly the youths.

“Our lawmakers should make our welfare a top priority in their agenda, it should be part of their oversight functions”

The small scale businesses owners are appealing to lawmakers to assist them with items such as generators, laptops, fridges and cash to enable them do their business which is a major source of income.

They noted that they are in need of empowerment from the leaders of their constituencies for them to become self-reliant.
