Port Harcourt—The Rivers State candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Siminialayi Fubara has settled for a woman as his running mate for the in next year’s gubernatorial elections, Rhythm 93.7 reports.
Rhythm 93.7 reports that Dr. Ngozi Ordu, a career civil servant that rose through the ranks in the Rivers state ministry of health to become the permanent secretary and the longest in that ministry after serving for more than six years was chosen by the Rivers PDP to run with Siminialayi Fubara the former state Accountant General

In 2019 when Governor Nyesom Wike constituted the committee for accreditation and approval of private schools in Rivers state, Ordu served in an eleven-member committee for Rivers West Senatorial District.
