The National Association of Water Producers in Rivers state has announced that the price of sachet and bottled water would increase from next month, August.
They cited the viewing upward prices, increase in production cost and other materials as reasons for this development.

National President of Water Producers Association of Nigeria, Mr Egberi Markson told newsmen that with the increase in cost of diesel and other water production materials, the planned hike in sachet and bottled water has become inevitable.

According to him, they need to increase the prices for them to remain afloat in the business.
In some parts of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, a bag of sachet water popularly called Pure water is sold at between 120-150naira per bag which contains 20 sachets.
