Following the sack of the sole administrator of the NDDC, the Nigerians President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Engr. Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua as acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Less than 48 hours of Mr. Effiong Akwa sack as Interim Administrator of the board, the appointment of Engr. Emmanuel was contained in a letter signed by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Umana Okon Umana.
“President Buhari has further approved that the most senior director in the commission should take over and perform the duties of the managing director in acting capacity in line with the provision of the extant Federal Government Circular Ref No. SGF.50/S.II/C.2/268,” the letter reads in part.
