IPAC Bayelsa Calls For Heavy Security In Brass


The InterParty Advisory Council, IPAC in Bayelsa State have called on security agencies to beef up security of lives and properties in Brass constituency 1 and 2 ahead of the elections.

The leadership of IPAC noted that they have uncovered a plot by a certain political party to violently attack leaders and supporters of other political parties in the forthcoming elections in Brass local government area of the state.

IPAC made this known while speaking to newsmen saying the alleged plot maybe connected to the loss of two major seats which are the Nembe Brass federal constituency and the Bayelsa East Senatorial district to the opposition party in the February 25 election.

State IPAC Chairman, Mr Kpodoh Brisibe alleged that they are aware of movement of arms in the Brass Island and plans to chase away voters population at the polling units on election day.

They urged security agencies to ensure that they carry out their duties effectively inorder to make the elections free, fair and credible.
