IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL BEDFORD BENJAMIN BEREFA CONGRATULATES NEW MINISTERS FROM THE NIGER DELTA

In a gesture of unity and regional progress, Bedford Benjamin Berefa, the spokesperson of the Ijaw Youth Council, extended his warm congratulations to the newly appointed ministers hailing from the Niger Delta region. In a statement released today, Berefa applauded the move by President Bola Tinubu to appoint capable individuals who have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities unique to the Niger Delta.

Berefa’s statement highlighted the significance of the appointments in fostering development and addressing long-standing concerns in the region. He emphasized the need for the ministers to work closely with the respective Governors of their states in order to pool resources and efforts towards driving regional advancement via industrialisation.

Furthermore, Bedford Benjamin Berefa expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for recognizing the importance of inclusivity and representation, ensuring that the voice of the Niger Delta is heard at the national level. However, he beacons on the president to appoint more Ijaw minister as it is not good enough that the 4th largest ethnic Bloc has only one minister. He stressed that these appointments have rekindled hope among the youth and inhabitants of the Niger Delta, fostering a sense of empowerment and renewed commitment to contributing to the nation’s progress

Berefa concluded his statement with a call to action, urging the newly appointed ministers to collaborate effectively with their counterparts from the Niger Delta states, as well as with regional Governors, to implement strategic initiatives that would lead to holistic development. He emphasized that by closing ranks and working collectively, the ministers and governors can pave the way for a brighter future for the region and its residents.
