Gloria Diri Admonishes Women to Continue to Bridge the Gap of Equity

In commemoration of International Womens’ Day, the wife of the governor of Bayelsa state, Dr.(Mrs) Gloria Diri, has admonished women to continue to bridge the gap of gender parity.

Dr. Gloria Diri who gave the admonition focusing on this year theme ‘Innovation and technology  for gender equality’ noted that with collective efforts, an inclusive and equitable world can be achieved.

She also lauded women of the state who have worked hard to break the stereotype chain while urging their counterparts to embrace technological advancement in order to become par in various work sphere.Bayelsa state government appeals to CBN to circulate the redesigned naira notes

Also, the immediate past Chief Judge of Bayelsa state, Justice Kate Abiri, spoke on the role of women in the society, as she encouraged them not to downplay their God given position in the world.

On their parts, Women from various walks of life encouraged themselves to make continuous contributions and accomplishments to build an equitable society.

The highpoint of the event was the award presentation to Justice Kate Abiri, Bodisere Teibowei, Kens Godwin among others for their accomplishments in various fields.
