FG Begins Training of Bayelsans on A|gricultural Centre Survey

The National Bureau of Statistics has collaborated with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, World Bank and Food and Agricultural Organization, FAO to commerce a Five day training of enumerators in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital on national agricultural centre survey.

Bayelsa state officer, Mrs Timi Nanakumo who represented the Chairman of the National Bureau of Statistics explained that the agricultural centre survey is very important for agricultural businesses noting that the survey was last conducted in 1993 and the available data has become obsolete.

She urged enumerators and other field officials to take the training seriously as it is very essential for the state agricultural sector.

In his remark, Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mr Ayibaina Duba who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Jane Help Yaweh appreciated the organizers for the partnership and urged the participants to attach importance to the training program.
