Cross River:The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC in Cross Rivers State has graduated 169 personnel from the corp to after the first batch of their training.
Commander of NSCDC in Cross Rivers State, Mr Samuel Fadeye who spoke during the event said the graduands have completed the first three months training at the state headquarters of the command.

Mr Fadeye noted that they would proceed to Katsina state for another three months training before their deployment to various commands across the country.
He pointed out that the personnel were those taken in 2019 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the exercise was put on hold.
According to him, 5000 Nigerians were recruited nationwide for the training to become full personnel of the corp.
He commended Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Akhmed Audu for providing the command with the necessary equipment and facilities to carry out the training and other operations.
