Bayelsa Police assures of hitch free yuletide

The Bayelsa Police Command has re-strategized its security mechanisms to ensure a hitch free Christmas and New year celebrations.

Spokesman of the state police command, Mr Asinim Butswat disclosed this in a statement saying the State Police Commissioner, Mr Ben Okolo has charged divisional police officers and tactical commanders to intensify patrol and surveillance in all parts of the state.

He emphasized an earlier warning concerning the use of fireworks saying parents should caution their children and wards to desist from using any form of fireworks.

While wishing the people of the state a Merry Christmas and Happy New year, the police command also enjoined members of the public to cooperate with other security agencies for a hitch free yuletide celebration.
