BAYELSA GOVT DEBUNKS RUMORS COMMERCIAL ON FLIGHT OPERATIONS

Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Lawrence Ewrudjakpor has debunked rumors that the state international airport has been downgraded and flight are no longer taking off.

This rumour is coming due to the fact that the Bayelsa International Airport is yet to resume commercial flight operations after the state government had promised that flight operations would resume at the end of July 2022.

While speaking to newsmen, Senator Ewrudjakpor said that the two airlines, Ibom Air and United Nigeria Airlines were carrying out a decheck of their aircraft which has also affected their flight operations from their primary routes.

He pointed out that the state govt was in touch with the management team of both airlines and gave assurance that normal flight would resume at the airport very soon.
