APC Leader Kidnapped Amidst Election Campaigns
Mr Richard Omosehin, a former Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has reportedly been abducted at his residence in Igbekebo, Ese Odo Council area of the state by Six armed men.
The Police State command have confirmed the abduction. They stated that a search has been launched into the whereabouts of the victims, and investigation into the matter has set in motion.
A family member stated that the governors aide was kidnapped on Friday night.
“Richard, a strong leader of the APC was kidnapped by six gunmen who came to the community on a speed boat and went to his private house where he was dragged into the boat and they sped of
” The incident happened at about 2am on Saturday. Immediately, people invited the police but by the time the policemen arrived at the place the kidnappers have taken the man (victim) away. “
The Oba of igbekebo town, Oba Simon Dabo said on a monitored radio program that “the victim was allowed to call his wife from of the den of the kidnapper and the bandits had demanded a sum of N100million for his release.
Funmi Odunlami, the police mage maker who confirmed the abduction said all efforts would be utilized to ensure the victim is brought home unharmed.
Odunlami has added that ” We are already making efforts to rescue the victim and investigation had begun.
